SolarSpace was handpicked by DOE to showcase our technology (Booth 221) at Global Clean Energy Action Forum. It is organized and hosted by the U.S Department of Energy and Carnegie Mellon University. US Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm and Pittsburgh Mayor William Peduto will be hosts and the event will be attended by Ministerial delegations from 22 countries.

SolarSpace will be participating at The Energy Tech Venture Forum, a premier 2-day energy venture capital conference connecting energy innovators, investors, corporations and the energy ecosystem. It is organized and hosted by Rice Alliance, a Rice University’s nationally-recognized initiative devoted to the support of technology commercialization, entrepreneurship education and the launch of startups and tech companies. SolarSpace was also invited to Invite-Only Investor & Industry Office Hours, a one-on-one sit down with participating investors and industry leaders.

SolarSpace wins the American-Made Solar Prize Round 5 Ready! Contest Software Track. The contest was directed and administered by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DEO) - Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO).

Gen³ rebrands to SolarSpace

Gen³ is admitted into the University of Arizona Center for Innovation Program (UACI), a Start-Up Incubator Program & Network that support early-stage technology companies.

Tech Launch Arizona issues a Press Release about Gen³ "Startup Licenses Alternative Solar Energy System"

Gen³ signs an Exclusive Patent License Agreement with the University of Arizona. Under this agreement, Gen³ receives Worldwide Exclusive Commercialization License, with the Right to Sublicense of UA's three key Solar Technologies and five Patents.

Gen³ breaks ground and begins Pilot-Scale Installation at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Monastery in Florence, Arizona.  Gen³ will install 160 Trackers with a total capacity of over 1 MW.

Gen³ buys all tangible assets of REhnu Inc., a University of Arizona spin-off company formed by University of Arizona Regents' Professor of Astronomy and Optical Sciences and Director of Richard F. Caris Mirror Lab Roger P. Angel, former University of Arizona President John P. Schaefer and University of Arizona Regents' Professor of Astronomy and Director Emeritus Peter A. Strittmatter.
